Suzanne Wallace

Tax Partner

Suzanne trained with Ernst & Young in Birmingham from 1984 and qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1989.  During her training she worked in all fields of taxation and looked after a range of clients from entrepreneurs to corporate plc's and rock bands.
 


Suzanne joined Shaws when it was formed in 1992 and currently heads up the BTG Tax Private Client Group in Birmingham which includes the Sports Media and Entertainment sector.  Suzanne's experience of dealing with high net worth individuals provides many opportunities for tax planning both in the UK and internationally. 



Suzanne's knowledge also includes dealing with offshore and UK Trusts and the administration of these effectively from a tax perspective.  The Sports, Media and Entertainment sector in particular requires tax expertise in relation to commercial contracts and the utilisation of Image Rights, given the relatively short career and earning potential of the average sportsperson.
